2014-2024 Porsche Macan Plug and Play Remote Start Kit

First impressions are great. Just installed by a professional auto guy who is unfamiliar with Porsche. Took less than 3 hrs. Next step is to down load the app on the IPhone.

Ok 1st of all make sure you plan out your install because if you require Tech Support they are only open during the week. Unfortunately, I planned my install on a Saturday and had a “No-Start” issue however, (and lucky for me) they had a “Troubleshooting” video which covered my issue. I must give them props because the videos they provided for the install gives you about 90% of what to expect. But here are a few lil hints for future purchaser/installers:

1. The ring around the key/headlight holder pops off. In my install it was VERY TOUGH to remove but it will pop off with a panel removal tool. (And a lot of patience)
2. In the video they have you remove only 1 screw from the bottom of the panel for the OBD connector. Piece of advice: Remove the 2 screw on the right side (near the center console) otherwise there is no way in h3ll you’ll be able to get your hand in there to remove/reinstall the OBD connector.
3. The “Wired” key ring is very sensitive and if not installed properly- it will cause a “No-Start” issue.

Other than that it was pretty much as the videos show.

One of the best solutions in adding remote start to your car. Easy to install with it being 99.9% plug and play (only one wire to splice). Installed it on my 2019 Toyota Camry and works great. I initially bought the main module along with long range fobs, which is needed for me because as it'll work with your OEM remote, my OEM fob however has really bad range. While purchasing the long range fobs which comes with 2, one of them will give you feedback with tones and a flashing light. However for the price of the fobs, both fobs should provide feedback not just one of them!

Months later I opted to go ahead and purchased the app module, another pricey add on but a good one. Which is useful because with the app you can perform starting your car, lock & unlocking as well as opening your trunk! Also works with Google assistant or Alexa! Another useful part about the app is you can share control of your vehicle with others. Imagine accidentally locking your keys and your phone in your car. Find another phone and call someone like your spouse to remotely unlock your car from wherever they are.
